Who we are
Mission: We are a network for the multilingual mutual support of non-Japanese (with the help and contributions of Japanese members) who plan to spend the rest of their lives living in Japan. We are not experts in the fields of healthcare and ageing and cannot provide services or professional advice in these areas. However, we will provide information and links as we build up our database.
Vision and goals: The name of our group reflects the various backgrounds and stages of life of our members and the way in which our interests, concerns, and knowledge mingle like lines of a melody or stitches in a tapestry to create something far more wonderful than the sum of its parts. We are starting as a simple networking group with monthly talks online and occasional face-to-face activities (art exhibitions, storytelling, hiking, book club, etc.). We plan to build the website as an information resource as well as a meeting point.
Our long-term goals are to establish an organization and to provide a multilingual residential group care home for non-Japanese speakers.
